About
RustRecon gathers into one picture what is already published about a Rust player — but scattered across a dozen places.
What it does
Takes a SteamID and builds a file: Steam and EAC bans, admin bans on the big Russian projects, hours as Steam counts them and, separately, hours actually played on servers, the server history and shooting statistics. Every signal carries a weight, and the weights add up to a risk score.
Where the data comes from
The Steam Web API — profile, bans, hours, library and statistics. BattleMetrics — server history. The public ban lists the Rust projects publish themselves. All of it is available to anyone without us; we only gather it in one place and do the arithmetic.
What it does not do
It does not pass verdicts. A risk score is a sum of signals, not proof of cheating: a high score also fits somebody who changed their nickname, plays on aim servers and keeps their profile private. That is why the report shows every signal behind the score, with its price. The reader decides.
Privacy
RustRecon processes the account, subscription, service configuration and security data needed for the features you choose. Lookup history remains in your browser and can be cleared there; shared report pages are closed to search engines. The Rust+ Connector handles SteamID64 and authentication data only after you explicitly start pairing.
Contact
If a report shows something wrong about you, you want a shared link removed, or you have a privacy question, write to RustRecon and we will sort it out.
